Details
Bursera Graveolens, commonly known as Palo Santo, is a plant native to Central and South America. Its name comes from a fascinating peculiarity: it blooms on Christmas Day. The botanical description of the tree occurred only in 1824 following a German expedition to the Americas, but Palo Santo had already been known and used for centuries by South American populations.
The production of products derived from Palo Santo takes place in full respect of the environment and the plant itself: only fallen and naturally seasoned wood is used. It is precisely this natural fermentation that gives the wood its characteristic aroma, which develops only after a long maturation process.
Palo Santo wood boasts extraordinary properties: in addition to keeping mosquitoes and other insects away, it is known for its relaxing qualities, promoting psychophysical well-being, serenity and better sleep. It is said to help restore the balance between body, mind and spirit, purifying environments from negative energies and restoring energetic and vibrational harmony. For this reason, it is often used during ceremonies and meditations.
Palo Santo is generally offered in the form of aromatic sticks. To release its properties, simply burn the end, creating a little ember and letting the characteristic scented smoke spread.
Himalaya Sanctus offers a complete range to satisfy every need: in addition to the woods available in two formats, it also offers Palo Santo chips, cones, incense sticks, resin and essential oil.
